Private Yoga Lessons

Private lessons are the heart of Evolutionary Yoga.

Traditionally, yoga was taught one-on-one. Private lessons provide a setting in which your individuality can be completely addressed. Yoga postures and breathing exercises are selectively chosen and developed to meet your specific needs. Learning and practicing postures and breathing exercises at your own pace and within your own range is the most effective way to realize the benefits of yoga.


 

Attentively guided by verbal instruction, imagery, demonstration, and hands-on direction, you will explore yoga in a way that is practical and beneficial. True strength, endurance, and range of motion are developed incrementally and gradually, not by force. Kevin Kortan's approach to teaching Yoga guides each person in developing a practice that is relevant to his or her own body and life experience. He works with a diverse range of people applying Yoga uniquely to each person. Most importantly, he teaches you to work with your body by being responsive to the signals of your body in the present.
